Sir Robert Theodore S. Romero, KCR

I am Sir Robert Theodore Romero Y Silverio KCR LM 777, presently, the Chapter Commander of the Protacio Mercado Chapter. I was born 09 November, 1950 in Singian Hospital, City of Manila. I am married to the former Marilou Lacson y Hizon from Abucay, Bataan with 8 all professionals children and 7 grandchildren.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Preparatory Medicine degree at University of the East-Manila in 1972. Took up Master’s in Business Administration at De La Salle University-Manila in 1978 and Leadership & Management Development Program (2003) and Executive Management Program (1979) at Ateneo de Manila University. Finished the Command and General Staff Course at the AFP Joint Command Staff and College at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo.

I was a Commissioned Officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the first and the only Medical Administrative Corps (MAC) officer, both in the active and the reserve component to reach the rank of Brigadier General (07) and served as the Brigade Commander of the 5th Technical & Administrative Services Brigade- Visayas based in Camp Lapu-Lapu, Lahug, Cebu City till the time of my retirement.

I am very much involved and affiliated with the following organizations. At present I am the President of FORVETS INC. (an Affiliate Organization of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines), a Trustee of AGFO Foundation (AFI) Inc., Kapisanan Kawal Mindanao (KKM), and the Asia Pacific League for Freedom and Democracy (APLFD). I was the past President of the National ROTC Alumni Association (NARAA), Reserve Officers Legion of the Philippines (ROLP), Aerospace Association of the Philippines (AAP), Rotary Club of Commonwealth, QC (RI-3780), and the Sigma Mu Sigma Fraternity. I am active in good standing member of the Association of General and Flag Officers (AGFO), Veterans Federation of the Philippines (VFP), UE Knights Fraternity, American Legion-General Emilio Aguinaldo Post 94, and the Island Luz Minerva Lodge No 5 F & AM.

I was also a recipient of numerous distinguished awards including the Outstanding Alumnus Award in 2015 (University of the East Alumni Assn. Inc.), Achiever’s Award in 2014 (Philippine Air Force NARAA chapter), Outstanding Alumnus Award in 2014 (Marcelo H del Pilar HS), Outstanding ROTC Graduate Award in 2013 (Chief of Staff, AFP), Leadership Award in 2010 (Reserve Officers Legion of the Phils.), Outstanding Performer Bagong Bayani Award in 2010 (United Laboratories, Inc.), Reservist Officer of the Year Award in 2009 (AFP, Dept of National Defense), Outstanding Rotarian of the Year Award (TORY) in 2008 (RI District 3780), Vocational Service Award in 2007 (RI District 3780), Officer Best Shot (AR-15 Shoot) Officer Level in 1996 (International Air Cadet Exchange-Singapore) and the Outstanding Medical Administrative Corps (MAC) Officer of the Year Award in 1996 (Office of the Surgeon General, AFP).
