Sir Jonathan C. Balsamo, KGOR

Sir Jonathan Balsamo, KGOR is the Past Chapter Commander of Suceso Chapter. Born on November 18, 1985, he finished his Bachelor of Arts in History at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, cum laude and Jose Rizal-Sun Yat Sen Society, Inc. scholar. He is currently taking his Master in Public Management at the Ateneo School of Government, while serving as the City Government Assistant Department Head (CGADH) II of the Valenzuela City Cultural Affairs and Tourism Development Office (CATDO).

Notable Achievements in the KOR:

• Founded Sucesos Chapter

• Served as editor of the two books released by the Knights of Rizal: Diskursong Rizal in 2017 and The True Filipino is a Rizalist and other Speeches on Rizal and Nation-Building in 2018

• Headed the Rizal Quiz Bee Committee of the National Rizal Youth Leadership Institute (NRYLI)

• Organized conferences and seminars on history and Rizal

• Proposed the installation of historical markers approved by the National Historical Commission on historian Gabriel Fabella in Romblon and on Chief Justice Sir Claudio Teehankee, KGCR at the Knights of Rizal International Headquarters

• Supported the continuous Rizal and local history programs in Valenzuela City, in coordination with numerous organizations

• Actively sponsored the Rizal birth and martyrdom commemorations conducted by the Valenzuela Central Chapter at Polo Rizal Park
