• Jeffrey Ian Dy

Sir Emmanuel F. Calairo, KGOR

Born on July 20, 1972 in Quezon City.

He graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of the East – Manila. Finished his Master of Arts in Teaching, major in Social Studies and Doctor of Philosophy, major in History at the University of the Philippines – Diliman.

Currently a commissioner of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). Also a concurrent Head of the Committee on Historical Research and Vice Head for the Sub-Commission on Cultural Heritage of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). In the academe, he is the incumbent Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research and faculty of Social Sciences Department and Graduate School of Liberal Arts with the rank of Professor IV of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas. He also is the Director of the Cavite Studies Center.

Notable Achievements in the KOR:

  • Published numerous books related to Rizal and the Knights of Rizal such as The Belgian Rizalist and other numerous titles;

  • Assisted the Knights of Rizal in numerous endeavors such as the inauguration of the Rizal Room;

  • Co-directed and produced El Genio de la Raza, a movie on the childhood of Dr. Jose Rizal, with the active partnership of the Knights of Rizal;

  • Presented papers and lectures to KOR chapters here and abroad;

  • Hosted Ang InyongKabayani with topics on history and culture
